Mercedes-Benz fashion week swim brings international line-up of swimwear designers to Miami

It’s finally beginning to feel like summer, and as we gear up for much anticipated longer days and warmer weather, it’s time to start getting ready for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. For the seventh year, thousands of fashion industry professionals will migrate to the sands of Miami Beach to see what’s in store for the swimwear industry in 2012.
"This season is one the most exciting to date; Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim is bringing it’s most international roster of swimwear designers yet," says Christina Neault, Executive Producer of the event for IMG Fashion.

The first BeachCandy Swimwear store is set to open in Corona del Mar, California this month. The luxury swimwear maker has a new collection exclusive to the store that will feature 16 ready-made, mix-and-match pieces in 14 colors.Customers who want a more exclusive fit can have special-ordered swimwear items that are custom made for them. The custom collection allows the customer to choose from over 150 fabrics. Among the BeachCandy pieces is the Monokini, which is embellished with about 500 Swarovski crystals, particularly on the hips, and costs $675.
Geri Halliwell`s new swimwear collection "Geri By Next"

Ex "Spice girls" singer Geri Halliwell partnered with British retailer Next to create a collection of swimwear named Geri by Next, which includes one-pieces, bikinis, and cover-ups in floral and animal print patterns and bright colors like pink, white and blue.
