Born Free is a global initiative with the goal of ending mother-to-child HIV transmission by December 31, 2015. The exclusive Shopbop + Born Free capsule collection was formed in collaboration with 22 top designers, including Victoria Beckham, C?line, Tory Burch, and Isabel Marant. 100% of the profits from this collection will benefit Born Free. The MAC AIDS Fund will match all donations and the total purchase price of all products sold, up to $500,000.
FENDI Boutique opens in Munich
On Tuesday, March 18th, 2014, the luxury label FENDI, whose Creative Director is Karl Lagerfeld, will open its first boutique in Germany. The boutique is 365 square meters large and is located in Maximilianstraße 12-14 in a historical building from the 19th century. The hosts, Pietro Beccari (Chairman and CEO of FENDI), Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi will personally welcome the guests at the opening.

This is the second collection by the Belgian designer Raf Simons for the famous French label. Instead on a traditional catwalk the defile was presented in a recreated garden in the Tuileries. The Belgian gardening firm Jacques Wirtz supplied the plants and design.
The luxury couture models had flowers and embroidery in abundance. A number of dresses were composed of two or three layers of tulle, with embroidery designed to create a three-dimensional effect.

Copenhagen fashion week took place from 8 to 12 August and showed models for Spring 2013.
We have made a selection of what we liked from the presented collections.
Sports-inspired and wearable styles took centre stage at the fashion week, but still remained utterly cool and cutting edge. Womenswear and menswear brands used drawstring waists, elasticated cuffs and varsity jackets for Spring 13.

Valentino Haute Couture Collection Fall-Winter 2012/2013 was presented at Paris Fashion Week in July. Although the iconic fashion designer retired in 2008, the creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have been maintaining the classic, high end Valentino style. The collection for Fall-Winter features a range of satin dresses, brocade jumpsuits, embroidered jackets and floor-length capes.
Shimmering fabrics, embroideries and beautiful prints, mainly with flowers and ornaments decorate the beautiful outfits.
Versace Fall-Winter 2012/2013 Haute Couture collection
At Paris Haute Couture fashion week Atelier Versace presented Fall-Winter 2012/2013 collection of dramatically short mini-dresses and long gowns slit high on the thigh.
The models are inspired by the imagery in tarot cards – the sun, the moon and the world. The dresses are feminine and romantic, with layers of transparent plastic and patches of silicone, pearl and crystal mesh. Embroideries of the tarot symbols added to the luxurious look. The fabrics are mostly in tender pastel colours.

It is still hot outside, but we decided to look at the Fall-Winter season and present to you an interesting and different Versace collection. Usually Donatella Versace designs sexy little dresses in bright colours and with interesting prints, but for Fall-Winter 2012/2013 she focused on dark monochrome colours and gothic elements. Fashion experts say it was kind of tribute to her brother and founder of the brand Gianni Versace.
Versace Fall-Winter 2012/2013 collection abounds with corseted minidresses with crucifixes both printed and made with the use of crystals and sequins, dark turtlenecks and leather pencil skirts, biker jackets and throat-tight coat-dresses.

The double-breasted pea coats and hooded sweatshirts, the inlays and jacquard patterns on wools with varying degrees of fineness and the chino pants are obvious examples of this. A retro style opens out onto graphics for the t-shirts or the choice of ankle boots in real leather. Dark blue and beige, coordinated with wood green, maroon and grey marl, make up the palette.

Benetton Presents The Spring-Summer 2011 Men`s Collection
LIGHT AGE - A shirt and … you’re all set: this seems to be what United Colors of Benetton is saying. In fact the striped or plain-colour shirts are uniquely cool and light. If we then pair them with gabardine trousers – long or Bermudas – we’ll be ready for even the very hottest weekend in summer. Pale blue, white and green with a touch of grey are, as always, the most appropriate colours. Make sure everything has a slightly crumpled air to be sure you won’t risk looking too formal.
Chanel Resort 2012 collection presented in Cap d’Antibes
A couple of days ago, Chanel presented its Cruise collection, Resort 2012, at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes on the French Riviera and was nothing less than we would have expected from Karl Lagerfeld.
The designer booked possibly the most expensive hotel in the world for however many days it took to get the show on the runway and as we expected - it was glamorous.
SISLEY Women`s Collection for Spring/Summer 2011
Mixing seems easy, but the true expert catches your eye with the sensitivity she displays when bringing together, very naturally, denim and eveningwear, or military styles with something straight from Woodstock.

Benetton Presents The Spring-Summer 2011 Women's Collection
ARMY LOVERS - The rigour of military clothing is softened by romantic, ultra-feminine touches. This creates a look that marries two very different but mutually attractive worlds. The key fabric is cotton, all kinds of cotton: gabardine, canvas and jersey for outerwear are turned into trench coats, multi-pocket jackets and parkas. Cotton teamed with linen, silk and viscose creates blouses and shirts, T-shirts, dresses, trousers and skirts. A variety of weights, volumes and layering is instrumental in taking the edge off the basic theme.
The lightness of the muslins and the seemingly random layering of jersey and ultra-fine knitted sweaters offer the appropriate compromise to help us accept this contrast of two styles united to tell a single story. The palette centres around powdery shades of pinks, greens and greys. Optical white ensures occasional flashes of light.

The Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2011 began yesterday. It will continue 4 days. Most interesting during the first day was the Christian Dior fashion show.
This time when creating his collection for Dior, John Galliano was inspired by the work of Rene Gruau - a famous artist-illustrator.
Tight jackets, magnificent shoulders, deep necklines and tailored skirts to the knee were the center of the collection with 1950s flavour. Galliano went all-out for volume, enveloping his models in layers of tulle as they flowed down the runway.
