Womenswear: Kenzo Resort 2016 collection

For the Resort 2016 collection for KENZO, we celebrate the intrepid woman. We observe her nomadic exploration and her light yet utilitarian dressing.

The collection’s palette highlights the sun bleached and colors run the gamut of black, anthracite and steel to softer beiges, lilacs, greys, stone and whites.

Prints of magnified lunar maps and abstract cacti appear on quilted jacquards and summer nylons. Washed out denims in camouflage jacquard are partnered with skirts featuring embroidered KENZO logo ribbon detailing. Mesh pleat dresses with low waists and jumpsuits come in sleek silk or cotton. Parka dresses in silk appear alongside summer tweeds in fine jersey and statement KENZO logo jersey track pants are worn with oversize jersey tops. Asymmetric d-rings appear as hardware throughout.

For accessories the KENZO ‘Bike’ belt bag in black leather is joined by protective clutches which resemble military water bottles. Sandals are flat with metalized fringing and cross straps. Long necklaces echo talismans.
