Womenswear for Fall-Winter 2014/2015 by Burberry Prorsum
Christopher Bailey (the Chief Creative Officer of Burberry, who is responsible for the design of all Burberry collections and products, as well as all advertising, corporate art direction, architectural design, multimedia content and overall brand image for Burberry) presented his womenswear collection for Fall-Winter 2014/2015 yesterday (17 February, 2014) at the London Fashion Week.
Bailey's inspiration for his work was the Charleston Farmhouse in Sussex, England - the place was home to artists like Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant.
The first look on the catwalk was a narrow-belted flowing dress in cotton silk with irregular hem and hand-painted decoration.
This artistic and bohemian style collection includes also: shearling jackets, enswathing Chesterfields, painterly prints, draping scarves, dreamy silk dresses in a natural palette, trench coats with blooming flowers and robe-like silhouettes.
Accessories: new handbags called the Bloomsbury plus wickedly heeled Edwardian-shaped shoe-boots.
