Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring-Summer 2015 collection
Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier presented their Spring-Summer 2015 collection for Marc by Marc Jacobs (a.k.a. MBMJ) on September 9, in New York, USA, during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (held from 4-11 September 2014).
This collection is entirely inspired by one of the most adventurous fashion designers - Rei Kawakubo - and the English rave culture. This wasn't such a huge surprise given that we all know that Marc Jacobs is an admirer of Kawakubo's avant garde work at Comme des Garçons.
Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring-Summer 2015 collection includes: a lot of latex, crafted from plastic jackets and tops, polka dots, asymmetrical skirts, black leggings, full-skirted minis, baggy T-shirt dresses, bandeau tops, nylon slips in bold canary yellow, pleats, prints, cotton, silk.
Models' hair was built into topknot mohawks and their limbs were covered in latex.
