The bride, now married to Lionel Messi, wore an exclusive, exquisitely detailed mermaid-style gown.
The designer also dressed the bride's mother and sisters and several of the wedding guests.

Internationally acclaimed bridalwear designer ROSA CLARA was given the task of creating the wedding gown in which Antonela Roccuzzo would say "I will" to FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi. The ceremony, which was attended by a host of sports celebrities, took place on 30 June in the city of Rosario (Argentina).

Antonela Roccuzzo wore an exclusive mermaid-style gown by Spanish designer Rosa Clara. The dress featured an alluring deep-plunge sweetheart neckline, delicate lace straps and a sensational figure-flattering back with subtle tattoo effect and stunning guipure lace appliques.

The exquisitely crafted gown's rich fabrics and detailing featured spectacularly overlaid lace — including French lace made on a mid-19th-century loom — delicate beaded guipure lace appliqu?s and silk tulle, which gave the design its gentle lines and sense of weightlessness. Putting together that elegantly sophisticated combination of fabrics and styling required over 200 hours' toil at the Rosa Clar? workshop in Barcelona.

After the ceremony, Antonela switched style and dress, changing into a new Rosa Clar? creation to make the most of every last minute of the celebration at the Hotel Pullman Rosario City Center. The elegant gown, with hand-crafted jewel-beaded embroidery, geometric patterning, deep front and back V-necklines and skirt with bold slit hemmed with scalloped lace, looked absolutely amazing on her.

Designer Rosa Clara said, "Dressing Antonela for her wedding to Leo Messi is a real honour, and a real responsibility. Being asked to create a gown for an occasion as special and unique as her wedding day is a source of enormous pride for our company."

And Antonella wasn't the only one to place her faith in the Spanish brand that day. Several of Antonella and Leo's family members and friends chose designs from the Rosa Clara 2018 Cocktail Collection for their wedding outfits. Among them were Paula and Carla Roccuzzo (the bride's sisters), who picked a black and nude beaded lace gown and a black beaded model, respectively; Patricia Roccuzzo (Antonella's mother), who opted for a cobalt beaded lace design; Florencia Messi (wife of Leo Messi's brother, Rodrigo), who chose a coral and navy blue silk muslin creation; Jorgelina Cardoso (wife of Argentinian footballer ?ngel Di Maria), who wore a black silk crepe gown; Christel Casta?o (wife of Argentinian footballer Pablo Zabaleta), who picked a nude beaded lace dress; Sof?a Balbi (wife of FC Barcelona player Luis Su?rez), who sported a red crepe design; Nuria Cunillera (wife of Spanish footballer Xavi Hern?ndez), who selected a navy blue and nude beaded creation; Elena Galera (partner of FC Barcelona player Sergio Busquets), who picked a cobalt beaded crepe Georgette model; and Romarey Ventura (partner of Spanish footballer Jordi Alba), who wore a black crepe number with beaded neck.
