Maria Barros collection Spring-Summer 2010

Frills, crimps, large collars are characteristic for the blouses and some of the dresses.
With strength, elegance, great sense of design and a clear international vision, Maria Barros firm was founded in 2003. Locating the main head office in La Coruña the firm started off activities by showing the collections display on the Barcelonan Gaudí Catwalk for four consecutive seasons. With her own trademark, the designer has come to sign her most elaborated and highest range, providing a perfect high fashion clothing, which was defined as Intellectual Collections by Italian specialized critics.
Thanks to a great reception by the press and the audience, besides the creative international view, the collections have been shown in a parallel way both on Gaudí Catwalk and Milan Fashion Week, carrying out several events at the most important places of the Italian city. Later, she left the Spanish Catwalk to focus her fashion shows during the Fashion Week. Her presence in the catwalk becomes constant. Is the beginning of the firm’s international expansion.
Along the several collections Maria Barros has got the support and collaboration from different companies with a recognized prestige, such as Swarovski, Helena Rubinstein, L´Oreal and Sergio Rossi. Later, conceiving the design as a multidisciplinary study, she started designed in parallel with her fashion work a furniture Collection called “Couture”for the firm Jacinto Usán, where their concepts of fashion merge to be global and understood under the thinking of interior design.
With a staff formed by a young team that works under a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, in 2008 appeared the company Maria Barros Group S.L. for the marketing, production and distribution of her collections.
