Maria Lafuente Element Collection Fall-Winter 2013/2014
The Spanish designer Maria Lafuente takes as inspiration the philosophy of the item and transforms recycled materials and plastics from the Royal Glass Factory into architectural forms, natural and artistic mini sculptures that integrate one by one in any of the pieces in the collection.
The architectural silhouettes are a little tribute to the great Niemeyer (a Brazilian architect who is considered to be one of the key figures in the development of modern architecture). Fluid and comfortable models from technological and natural fabrics like wool, silk, tulle and lace with the intensity of red, garnet, coral, shrimp, makeup, copper, oil and black are the main accents in her collection.
The stockings are handmade in Spain and exclusively developed by Maria Lafuente Berkshire.
The Royal Glass Factory Granja de San Ildefonso provided handmade carved glass pieces that complement and integrate the pieces designed by Maria Lafuente.
As part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Paco Herrero and Maria Lafuente have made an exclusive shoe collection, made from natural materials. Qualitative product made in Spain.
