Spring-Summer 2014 collection by Jean Paul Gaultier
Real entertainment during the Paris Fashion Week thanks to Jean Paul Gaultier and the dance fashion show for the presentation of designer's Spring-Summer 2014 collection. It was inspired by dance competition shows, like 'Dancing with the Stars'.
'It will be murder on the dance floor!', Jean Paul Gaultier has promised and it was! Gaultier called this pure feel-good fashion spectacle full of energy and humor 'Saturday Night Fever'.
There was a panel of three judges on stage - evergreen muses Rossy de Palma and Tanel Bedrossiantz, and choreographer Blanca Li - who held up signs for models' dancing skills which criticized with phrases like 'No', 'Boring' or 'So So'.
Jean Paul Gaultier Spring-Summer 2014 collection evoked the classic musical 'Grease' with leather biker jackets and form-fitting pants, hip-hop inspired ensembles with baggy trousers and hooded sweatshirts plus tango outfits with fringed dresses and skirts.
The palette stuck to black, white, cream, and brown, and leather was predominant.
