Fall/Winter 2014-2015 by the Ukrainian designer Ivan Frolov

Designer Ivan Frolov has been working professionally on clothes creation since 14. Starting as a constructor’s assistant at Zakharova studio the designer continues as a constructor at Patoka STUDIO, a stylist at TV projects of 1+1 media holding. As a costume artist the designer creates concert looks of renowned Ukrainian celebrities.

In 2011 the designer founds his own brand "FROLOV" and starts working at capsule collections of clothes for participation at Ukrainian and international contests among clothing designers. Thus, in 2013, the designer becomes the winner of the Grand Prix of the 14th all-Ukrainian contest among young clothing designers “Look into the Future” presenting his “BSD” collection.

The brand’s philosophy is based on intelligent provocation and unhidden sexuality of the looks, on harmonious combination of each detail, on the play on the edge of the permitted and forbidden.

"FROLOV" is Freedom, Provocation, Challenge. It is a daring combination of materials and their textures. It is new methods of construction and finishing clothing pieces.

The brand reflects bright individuality and an open heart at the same time, it allows enjoying every day, staying devoted to yourself and following your own rules.

Clothes by "FROLOV" are freedom from false beliefs, a progressive look on things and a sexually attractive provocation.

The key stylistic and constructive solution used by the designer is a coat draped around the shoulders. Thus, the collection is rich in flying chiffon coats fixed to woolen jackets with a zip, whereas the back of asymmetric grey woolen coats has the form of a hood.

Rare Poltava-style satin-stitch embroidery is one of the bright advantages of the collection. It depicts hearts on lace accents of wool and silk maxi dresses. Lace knitting of balaclavas and décor of voluminous cardigans are also worth special attention.
