'The eye has to travel' - Valentino Resort 2016 collection

Valentino designers and creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli presented once again a collection in their signature style, but in the same time - new and different from the previous ones.

'We were thinking about freedom, and Diana Vreeland's famous quote, 'The eye has to travel', Piccioli commented. 'We are interested in the idea of harmony that combines different worlds, creating an aesthetic that is really contemporary because it's the fruit of free associations', added Chiuri.

The beauty is in the details and the designer duo knows it. Embroidery, beadwork, lace, appliques, net mixtured in a close to couture way, but meanwhile perfect for the everyday Summer life.

Valentino Resort 2016 collection weaves brand's typical flowers and animals with Native American and multicultural motifs, made in collaboration with the artist Christi Belcourt, a member of Canada's Métis tribe - leather intarsias of the continents, dragon embroideries, reminding the Far East, etc.

The silhouettes are simple, the decorations - beautiful and made with craftsmanship, and the fabrics are opulent.

Valentino fashion house once again offers really feminine and delicate, but also fresh and unique garments, which every woman would love to wear during her Summer time, including tulle gowns, chiffon maxi dresses, sheer skirts, suede bralets with matching shorts, crepe de chine shirts combined with pajama style pants, comfortable shoes, fringes, layers and really rich embroideries.
