Mesotherapy is a relatively new field in aesthetics medicine. It was invented by French physician Dr Michel Pistor.

Pistor uses mesotherapy for the first time in 1952 for treating traumatological and rheumatological disorders.

In 1958 he publishes his clinic research and introduces the term “Mesotherapy” that is quickly accepted and popularized by the French press. Later in 1987 Mesotherapy is accepted by the French Academy of Medicine as an integral part of conventional medicine.

It is now practiced by many physicians around the world.

What Mesotherapy consists of...

The method consist of series of micro injections directly inserting into the intradermal and subdermal space small mixes of substances such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, nucleic acids, hyaluron acid, anti-cellulite mixes. They actively influence fat dissolving and its ejection from the body and keep the skin looking young and tight.

It uses slender needles for single use only that are mounted on a special gun called Mesogun that allows precise dosage of the depth and dose of the drug. Injecting can also be done manually.
The injections are done on equal intervals of 0.5 to 2 cm and depth of 0.2 to 10 mm under the skin. The procedure is almost painless.

Nowadays it is considered that mesotherapy is the most effective and lasting method for rejuvenating the skin and reducing buildup fat and cellulite.

It can be said that mesotherapy is an alternative to liposuction and other kinds of interventions.
