The MUNICH FABRIC START from 5 to 7 September 2017 that has just drawn to a close was a very special one, according to the organizers. And it was very special for me too, as I was there for the first time after being at other fairs in Italy, France and Germany. I saw numerous innovations, developments and optimisations used to visualise ideas giving the sector a platform for creativity and technical developments. In Munich the future is real and technology the key to a broad-based textiles and fashion industry brimming with dynamism that is both tangible and perceivable.
The creative world of Spanish fashion gathers at the 66th edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid
The big event in Spanish Fashion, organised by IFEMA, will take place from 14 to 19 September. On the 14th, fashion shows and presentations will take place at different locations in the city. From the 15th to Tuesday the 19th, fashion shows will take place in hall 14.1 at IFEMA-Feria de Madrid, with some events closing with presentations and shows at other locations in Madrid.

Dean and Dan Caten, twin brothers from Willowdale in Toronto, started their path in fashion at the Parson’s School of Design in New York City in 1984. Eight years later, the Canadian duo moved to Italy with their sights set on creating their brand. For his Autumn/Winter 2017 collection show on the catwalk of London Fashion Week Men’s, E. Tautz designer Patrick Grant was inspired by men from the countryside. However, this “man” is of the intimate kind; in order to put a modern spin on his collection’s traditional silhouettes, Grant looked at the garb of scarecrows in the countryside of Leeds as depicted by photographer Peter Mitchell in his series “Some Thing Means Everything to Somebody.” The result was elegant wool coats, tailored anoraks, high-waisted belted trousers and open collars that were loosely layered to create the laid back, but fully modern look.
