Cold days approaching and we are all eager to know what should we add to our wardrobe for the new season. Fashion trends for autumn/winter 2011-12 are cheerful and promise to keep us away from the depression of the cold months. There are several trends for the season which you should consider upgrading your wardrobe.
Black, dark blue, brown and gray are part of the color palette. In the classic combination of black and white, every woman radiates elegance and business style. To bring you good spirit and to break the classics, we provoke you with green, orange, red and electric blue – a little freshness in autumn and winter months.
SCANDINAVIAN AUTUMN - The reds of the Scandinavian autumn trade places with the neutral shades of grey and brown and find their place on floral patterns of various sizes for dresses, skirts and blouses. The season’s must-haves are the coats in woollen cloth or tricot, the trench coats in real goose down and the thick wool jumpers reminiscent of hand-knitted types. The graphics are inspired by the genteel “teatime” atmospheres.
CENTRAL PARK - The leafy heart of New York reminds us of an urban look which comes from the skilful mixing of classics and casuals. The double-breasted pea coats and hooded sweatshirts, the inlays and jacquard patterns on wools with varying degrees of fineness and the chino pants are obvious examples of this. A retro style opens out onto graphics for the t-shirts or the choice of ankle boots in real leather. Dark blue and beige, coordinated with wood green, maroon and grey marl, make up the palette.
One of the fashion trends for Autumn-Winter 2011/2012 are clothes with contrast sleeves. The color of the sleeves can be soft and overflowing or bold and completely contrasting. The sleeves can also be made from a different fabric.
Contrast sleeves are popular not only for shirts and blouses, but also for dresses, jackets and coats. This fashion trend is introduced in the models of Burberry, Zara, CLU, Viktor & Rolf, Versace, Daphne.
For the next year the check will be trendy again in Autumn-Winter 2011/2012. The check pattern can be combined with both classical and with extravagant accessories.
Checkered shirts, skirts, jackets, bags and shoes can be seen in the collections of many world designers and fashion houses. We leave to you the choice in which one element of your outfit can bet on it.
I'M NOT A SOLDIER! - Women and men lined up in a vaguely military style highlights the skill of knowing how to mix pieces of clothing which define a character, a personality, a woman, a man. The softer silhouette used for her contrasts with the closer-fitting lines he wears. Chunky-stitch knits team with parkas and long and short jackets for him and her. Grey-green, brown and milky-white are the main colours.
NEW YORKER - Dedicated to those who shun exaggeration and have an innate sense of style and originality. This classic look – brightened with unexpected details like the vibrant colour of knitwear or the suit/trousers outfits’ penchant for pronounced patterns – radically transforms his and her approach to town wear. The comfortable fit allows a use of different fabrics. Camel, grey and dark blue create a colour base illuminated with the lacquer red, sunny yellow and electric blue exclusive to the unisex-look knitted sweaters.
For autumn-winter 2011-2012 designers offer us a lot of bag models. Shoulder-strap bags take on new accordion-like shapes and look like box-shaped vintage camera bags. Clutches are given 360° detailing with statement fur, and soft and malleable ball shapes. Very fashionable is the layered clutch that is expandable and transformable. The duffle bag returns too, oversized in a soft slouchy shape.
For four days, fashion is once again high on the agenda in the German capital. As title sponsor of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, Mercedes-Benz is particularly delighted with the successful start.
Trade visitors and fashionistas flooded the event marquee at Bebelplatz to see the presentations of the designers. An exciting programme, rich in contrasts, which captivated and enthused guests right from the start.
D&G presented its Fall/Winter 2011-2012 collection during the menswear fashion week in Milan. In the collection seems to dominate the spirit of Pop – candy pink, mint green and citrus bight yellow with logos of Coca Cola advertising and Mickey Mouse cartoons.
The models were wearing slim trousers, short or bomber jackets, basketball sneakers all in bright, cheery colors.

The wheel of fashion turned and recreated one true “Renaissance winter” in the new collection for Fall/Winter 2010-2011 of fashion house “Jeni style”.
The designer, Evgenia Zhivkova, was inspired by the Renaissance and late 40’s and 50’s of last century. The outfits are designed for strong women, willing to look into the future and search for new opportunities and development. Evgenia Kalkandzieva is the face of the collection, which contains 55 outfits in 10 subjects.
On September 17 in Europe Hall of the city theatre in Rousse, fashion house Modis presented its collection for Fall/Winter 2010/2011 with designers Valery Gidenov and Drina Pashova. The fashion show was stylish and professional, without a host pouring unnecessary superlatives, and the guests convinced themselves of the quality and originality of the clothes.
Over a hundred pieces of clothing were presented at the fashion show. The clothes were only in black, white, gray and “ashes of roses” colors and the variety of patterns and fabrics impressed the audience, that showed its approval with applause.
This year the collection of Emilio Pucci for Fall/Winger 2010/2011 is full of high bohemian and luxury dresses. For third season the designer Peter Dundas has taken Pucci to a darker, more dangerous place that looks fabulous. From start to finish the collection played like a sexy antidote to fashion’s resurgent minimalism. “I wanted to do something that felt lush” said the designer.
Without doubt this collection is designed for those who walk the red carpet. Long dark purple jersey dress with a scandalous deep cut back was the first opening dress.
Two of the dresses from Alexander McQueen’s fall/winter 2007 collection, which was inspired by the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 are to be sold at auction in London.
The two evening gowns are among the first to be sold at auction since the tragic suicide of the British designer in February.
